Entrepreneurship seems to be a hot topic lately. Here’s a quick reference to a few items:
1. For you Seth Godin fans, this offer was posted on his blog today:
“Free Goldin E-book. This is a better formatted, limited edition ebook edition of The Bootstrapper’s Bible, which used to come free when you bought a copy of Purple Cow.”
His link will take you to ChangeThis.com where you can download the manifesto.
The entire book is free for only two weeks. It claims: “There’s never been a better time to start a business with no money. This manifesto will show you how.”
2. Article in today’s Honolulu Advertiser:
Ranks of young self-employed grow.
The article actually comes from the Associated Press and shares a few stories outside Hawaii, however the trend is capturing our island youth as well—and count me in as one of their cheerleaders. A Talking Story post I had done about a local business called We Sell For You remains one of my most popular ones; it continually pops up on my referral logs in Google searches.
We Sell Things For You. About a new business and why they’re so smart.
Remember We Sell For You? A follow-up to my August post about them, with a link I found about EBay.
3. If you are new to Talking Story, taking these related links will catch you up in our discussion:
